Strong winds bring fire concerns, cooler temps

A Red Flag Warning is in effect for most of southeast Arizona from noon to 7 PM Monday. Southwest winds will blow between 15 and 25 mph, with gusts up to 40 mph.

A Fire Weather Watch is in effect for most of southeast Arizona Tuesday from 11 AM to 7 PM.

Highs will drop to the low to mid-80s today and Tuesday, mid-70s Wednesday, and lows in the 30s and 40s Thursday morning.

Along with the winds and cooler temps, a chance of a few showers and isolated thunderstorms is possible Tuesday night.

Friday through Sunday will bring dry conditions and a strong warming trend. Highs will rebound to the mid to upper 90s Saturday and Sunday.
