PHOENIX (AP) - For the second time this month, Phoenix has broken a heat record.

The National Weather Service says Phoenix reached a high of 113 degrees on Tuesday afternoon, topping the previous mark for Aug. 20 of 112 that was set in 1986.

Phoenix hit 115 degrees on Aug. 5, breaking the previous record of 114 for that date set in 1969.

Weather Service meteorologists are predicting Wednesday will be another record-setting heat day.

The Aug. 21 mark is 110 degrees set in 2007 and Phoenix's projected high for Wednesday is 114.
