LIVE UPDATES: Roads closed due to flooding south of Tucson

UPDATE 8:00 p.m.

TEP confirmed power was off for about 30 minutes near Country Club and Old Nogales Highway due to downed power lines.

Over 3,00 customers were affected.

UPDATE 4:00 p.m.

Pima County has posted the closure of two roads:

- Sahuarita Road east of Houghton Road
- Old Nogales Highway north of Lumber Street

UPDATE 3:30 p.m.

The National Weather Service has extended its Flash Flood Warning for the Picture Rocks area until 4 p.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service until 2:45 p.m. for western parts of Tucson, Casas Adobes and the Catalina Foothills until 2:45 p.m.

In addition, a Flash Flood Warning has been issued in East Pima County for southern portions of the Tucson metro area, including Summit, San Xavier & areas south of Tucson Int'l Airport. Between 0.75" and 1.25" of rain has fallen and is creating some localized flooding.
