UPDATE 10:30 p.m.

Starting around seven p.m. in Oro Valley, they said over fifty more customers were out of power. Their map said the cause of that was equipment repair - replacement. Power came back on for all the customers in Oro Valley around nine p.m.

A pole and wire went down specifically near Sixth and Nebraska around two in the afternoon and about thirty customers were out of service. TEP said it was caused by monsoon. Their map said power is going to come back on around one in the morning.

UPDATE 4:30 p.m:

Harrison Road is closed at the Pantano Wash due to storm water runoff, according to the City of Tucson's Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM).

In a social media post, DTM says the road will reopen once water recedes.

Tucson Electric Power is also reporting two active outages as of about 4:30 p.m.

An outage on the city's southwest side, near West Ajo Way and South Mission Road is affecting power to 26 customers. According to the TEP outage map, the outage is due to weather-related damage and the estimated time of power restoration is 6 p.m.

A smaller outage on the southside near South 6th Avenue between West Irvington Road and West Drexel Road indicates about 30 customers are currently affected. The TEP website estimates power will be out until Thursday morning. The map also cites downed power lines as the cause of the outage.

Monsoonal rains have officially begun falling in the Tucson metro area.

Earlier in the afternoon, a severe thunderstorm warning was issued in Vail, Rita Ranch and Corona de Tucson area. Some roads have been affected by flooding, including South Wentworth Road, just south of I-10:
