TUCSON, Ariz. - Hope you have the coat, gloves, and scarf handy! It's going to be a cold couple of days!
A cold front begins swinging through southern Arizona today, keeping highs in the 40s most of the area, including Tucson.
According to the National Weather Service in Tucson, it's rare that Tucson has February highs colder than 50°. Dating back to 1895, it's occurred only 65 times or 1.85% of February days.
As the clouds clear, lows will dip well below freezing across southeast Arizona tonight.
A Hard Freeze Warning is in effect from 11 PM Tuesday night through 9 AM Wednesday.
Remember the plants, pets, pipes and people!
Highs will warm back to the upper 50s by Thursday, upper 60s by Friday, and mid 70s for the weekend.
