TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) Former Arizona Wildcat linebacker Scooby Wright worked out in front of NFL scouts and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, at Arizona Pro Day.

Wright told reporters he is expected to be drafted between the middle of the second and the middle of the third round.

“Before I was like, I've got to go in the first round,” said Wright. “I was in college and got a scholarship and nobody thought I was going to do anything. I just want to play ball. I'll be 21 years old and living my dream. I'm just excited for it, to be honest.”

Wright is coming off an NFL combine in which he ran a relatively show 4.9 second forty yard dash. Wright was asked if he was trying too hard and wasn’t relaxed enough.

“You can do that in a football game and try your butt off and go one hundred miles an hour, but you can't do that in a forty,” answered Wright. “You look at track guys, and they don't look like they are about to pull a neck muscle.”

“His career speaks for itself,” added Rosenhaus. “You don't run out on Sundays and play in shorts. You are not getting timed. You play with pads on. When this guy has pads on, he dominates.”

Other Wildcats who are expected to be drafted are wide receiver Cayleb Jones, who left after his junior season, and safety Will Parks.
