Tiger Woods returned to golf for the first time in 15 months and shot an up-and-down and all-around 1-over 73 in the Hero World Challenge, a quasi-official PGA Tour event in the Bahamas. He was in 17th place, nine shots back of first round leader J.B. Holmes, in the 18-man field. Only Justin Rose had a higher score.
Tiger's 8th hole tee shot landed roughly less than a yard from the hole, showing signs of the rust chipping away. Tiger tallied 4 birdies on the front 9 and a one point did share a portion of the lead. Wood's hasn't played a competitive round of golf in 467 days.
