Saguaros to play for Pecos League Championship

The Tucson Saguaros will play for the Pecos League Championship in a series to start on Tuesday at Kino Stadium at 7. They earned the right by topping Roswell NM at Kino 4-1 to take the best of three south division play off.

Four Tucson pitchers limited the Invaders to just 5 hits and a run. The winner pitcher as the starter Cameron Cox. Tyler Herr picked up his 4 save of the season.
 
The Saguaros started fast by scoring 2 runs in the first inning, then added single runs in the fifth and sixth. Roswell didn't break onto the scoreboard until the 7th inning, and despite having runners on in the 8th and 9th were unable to break through again.
 
The north division winner was the Trinidad CO Triggers. They took two of three from Garden City KS. The opening game of the championship series will be Tuesday at 7 at Kino Stadium.
