TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Arizona football coach Rich Rodriguez is set to meet with University of South Carolina this week, per Fox Sports.
The 52-year old coach won the Pac-12 South in 2014, where the Wildcats recorded a 10-4 record. Rodriguez is 32-20 at Arizona and has beaten four top-10 teams over four seasons. Rodriguez has also led Arizona to seven wins in 19 tries versus ranked teams.
Rodriguez's name was circulated with Virginia Tech's coaching vacancy, but the Hokies hired Justin Fuente of Memphis just this weekend.
Auburn defensive coordinator Will Muschamp is expected to interview for the vacancy on Friday.
Other names that have been rumored to be considered for the job are Oklahoma OC Lincoln Riley, former Rutgers coach Greg Schiano and Cal coach Sonny Dykes. Interim coach Shawn Elliot has already interviewed.
