TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Catalina Foothills quarterback and son of Arizona Football head coach Rich Rodriguez, Rhett Rodriguez, announced on Saturday night that he committed to the U of A.
Rhett Rodriguez tweeted the message, "I'm proud to announce that I have accepted a scholarship offer to play at the University of Arizona! #BearDown"
Rodriguez is a 6-foot-1, 165 pound junior at Catalina Foothills. The quarterback threw for 2,503 yards, 20 touchdowns, and two interceptions this past season.
Rodriguez becomes the second commit in the 2017 class, after 4-star QB Braxton Burmeister from La Jolla, California.
