MLS star Luis Robles speaks to young players

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson Soccer Academy welcomes back former player and current New York Red Bulls starting goaltender Luis Robles for a meet-and-greet and Q&A session for youth soccer players.
 
Luis shared experiences and offered advice to young players and adults who admire him at the Sheraton Hotel on Sunday afternoon.
 
Robles, a native of Fort Huachuca, was named the 2015 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year and and is known as one of Major League Soccer's top goalkeepers. 
 
Robles was a four-year starter at the University of Portland and went on to play professionally in Germany. After stops with two German clubs, Robles returned to the United States and earned a contract with Major League Soccer's New York Red Bulls.
 
Robles has started every league match for the Red Bulls over the last three seasons. With Robles in goal, the club has won two Supporters' Shields in three years with the league's best record.  He is the franchise's all-time leader in wins and shutouts, and has a career record of 50-30-26, with 28 shutouts.
