The man behind the Nova Home Loans Arizona Bowl

Posted

TUCSON (KGUN-TV) -  The last time a bowl game was played in Tucson was in 1999 when Colorado played Boston College in the Insight Bowl.

This year, local attorney and assistant football coach at Salpointe high school, Ali Farhang, is bringing a bowl game back to the Old Pueblo.

The Nova Home Loans Arizona Bowl will feature Colorado State and the University of Nevada, both represent the Mountain West Conference.

Farhang said "The excitement from the community has exceeded my greatest expectations."

The game will kick off at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 29 at Arizona Stadium and it can be seen on KGUN9 sister station CW58.
