University of Arizona sophomore Chance Comanche will declare for the 2017 NBA draft. The decision was confirmed today when a University of Arizona basketball spokesperson released a statement. Comanche will not hire an agent.
The 6-foot-11-inch center averaged 6.3 points and 3.6 rebounds while appearing in all 37 games for the Wildcats last season.
“I am excited about the opportunity to explore my NBA options, gather information and dedicate the next month to reaching my goals of becoming an NBA player,” Comanche said. “At the conclusion of this process, my family and I will make the best decision for my future both on and off the court. I also want to thank Coach Miller and the Arizona staff for supporting my decision.”
Comanche has until May 24th, or 10 days after the NBA draft combine, to decide whether he will return or not. By not hiring an agent, Comanche is able to return to school if he chooses to do so.
