The Tucson Saguaros defeated Monterey, 5-1, on fireworks night at Kino Stadium.
Second baseman Fernando Garza had a two run home run and a double. Starting pitcher Clay Miller pushed his record to 6-0 by giving up just one run over eight innings.
The win keeps the defending Pecos League champions in first place in the Pacific Division.
The biggest Tucson crowd of the season, approximately ten thousand fans, was treated to a post game fireworks show presented by Pima County. The Saguaros again take on the Amberjakcs tomorrow night.
