SUNNYSIDE IS TWO WINS FROM A TRIP TO THE LITTLE LEAGUE WORLD SERIES IN WILLIAMSPORT, Pennsylvania. — Sunnyside is two wins from a trip to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
Head Coach Francisco Rivero's team will make an appearance on ESPN Friday night against the loser of a game between Northern California and Hawaii. Sunnyside needs to win that elimination game, and then the championship game on Saturday.
"The chemistry of this team is really good," said Rivero. "We knew we had a good team from the beginning."
The last time a team from Tucson made it to the Little League World Series was Tucson International in 1986.
