We're already familiar with Gronkowski the football player. Here comes Gronkowski the horse.
The European colt, named after the Patriots star and former Arizona Wildcat, will race in the upcoming Kentucky Derby.
Now, Rob Gronkowski has purchased a stake in his namesake horse from Phoenix Thoroughbreds.
"I'm looking forward to meeting the man," said Gronkowski trainer Jeremy Noseda. "It will be a huge day that will open up the Kentucky Derby, and horse racing, to even more sports fans."
The horse was named by agent Kerri Radcliffe, who's a big Patriots fan. He was bred in Kentucky but trains in England.
Both Gronkowskis are tough competitors. The football player stands 6'6'' while the horse is 6'5''. The question is whether Gronkowski the horse can run like Gronkowski the tight end. With his newfound connection, it may not be a good idea to bet against him.
It's official, I am part of the Gronkowski Team!
