TUCSON, Arizona — After holding an interim title for 23 months, Pima College names Jim Monaco its Athletic Director.
Monaco has helped secure corporate sponsorships with Chapman Automotive and Adidas. The College says it had the highest athletics GPA in its history this past season.
“It’s a nice relief to have that interim tag off and now we can continue to do what we’ve done on the field and in the weight room, safely," said Monaco in a statement. "Our next biggest goal is getting the field beautification done and continue to upgrade. We also look forward to build our fundraising money.”
Monaco previously served as football coach in the program's final five years.
