TUCSON, Ariz. — This is it for Pima College football.
Saturday, the Aztecs will take the field for the final time.
The program's last game will be in the Heart of Texas Bowl in Waco.
"We haven't had a lot of time to think about it," said Head Coach Jim Monaco. "It's been a busy couple of weeks preparing for this bowl game. I'm going to assume that it's going to be a lot more emotional after the game."
Budget cuts have forced Pima College to cancel football, but not before one final game.
The Aztecs will face Kilgore College.
"We're feeling great," said defensive back Derik Hall. "Last bowl game, the first bowl game we were in, we beat Kilgore. This is the last bowl game. We're playing Kilgore again. So, hopefully it's the same outcome."
The Aztecs are ranked 20th in NJCAA. Kilgore College is number 4.
The Heart of Texas Bowl is Saturday morning in Waco.
