TUCSON, Arizona — Jason Barr: What made you want to join the New York Giants?

Blake Martinez: A lot of reasons. Patrick Graham (Giants defensive coordinator) was a guy I worked with my third year in the league. They are an up and coming team in my belief. And then, just the market of New York and being out there and being able to play really great football for them.

Jason Barr: Tell me about your new training facility here in Tucson.

Blake Martinez: It's amazing. I didn't think it was going to turn out this great. We have a turf field. It's 30 yards in length and 15 yards in width. And, there's a basketball court. We have a full weight room that has two squat racks, two bench racks, Peleton bike, treadmill, dumbbells. It has everything you need, especially during this time.

Jason Barr: If someone said that you are the best player in the NFL who's never been to the Pro Bowl, how would you take a comment like that?

Blake Martinez: Being in the Pro Bowl is something I want to achieve. So is being in the Super Bowl, All-Pro, or anything a football player wants to achieve. I think I'm a Pro-Bowl caliber player, and I just want to keep getting better each and every year.
