TUCSON, Arizona — It's a nation divided, and that includes college football.
While the SEC, ACC, and Big-12 are set to play college football this fall, the Pac-12 is not. On a Tuesday zoom media session, Arizona head coach Kevin Sumlin was asked about the sentiment within his team.
"There is some disappointment from coaches, from fans, from everybody," Sumlin said. "I think our players, right now, with everything going on, are in as good a place, mentally, as anyone else in the country."
Elsewhere in the country, there are three Power 5 conferences that do plan to play. Sumlin isn't so sure they will be taking the field.
"Today, people are saying they are going to play. Just like we came out with a schedule and a week later, we were done, let's wait a couple of weeks and see what happens."
