TUCSON, Ariz — This story originally aired in April of 1989, when Kentucky showed interest in hiring away Lute Olson for the second time.
Instead, Olson signed a five year contract extension to stay at McKlae Center, and the rest is history, as Arizona ended up beating Kentucky in the 1997 championship game.
