Coyotes trade Hanzel and White to Minnesota

The Arizona Coyotes have traded forwards Martin Hanzal and Ryan White and a 2017 fourth round choice to the Minnesota Wild in exchange for a 2017 first round draft choice, a 2018 second round draft choice and a 2019 conditional fourth round draft choice.
 
In addition, the Coyotes have acquired forward Grayson Downing. Both Hanzal and White will become unrestricted free agents on July 1, 2017.
 
"On behalf of the entire organization, we would like to thank Martin for all of his contributions to the Coyotes on and off the ice over the past 10 seasons," said Chayka. "We wish him the best of the luck in the future."
 
The 24-year-old Downing has registered 7-14-21 and 11 penalty minutes (PIM) in 46 games with the Iowa Wild (AHL). The 6-foot-0, 196-pound Abbotsford, British Columbia native has recorded 26-39-65 in 107 career games with Iowa.
 
Hanzal has collected 16-10-26 and 14 PIM in 51 games this season and has registered 117-196-313 and 537 PIM in 608 career games with the Coyotes. White has recorded 7-6-13 with 70 PIM in 46 games this season.
