The Arizona Cardinals announced they have released linebacker and former Arizona Wildcat, Scooby Wright today.
NFL teams had until 4pm Eastern to trim their rosters from 90 to 53. Wright joined the team last December and had played well on special teams this preseason.
Wright was working with the second team, behind Karlos Dansby and Haasan Reddick and was supposed to see time with special teams this fall, if he made the team.
The Cardinals could bring back Scooby this week, perhaps on the practice squad.
