The Arizona Wildcats defeated the third-ranked UCLA Bruins (19-2) by a score of 96-85 in exciting fashion Saturday afternoon.

Sophomore guard Allonzo Trier played in his first game of the season after missing UA's first 19 games due to a suspension and finished with 12 points and seven rebounds.

UA was led by freshmen Lauri Markkanen and Kobi Simmons, the pair finished with a combined 38 points.

UCLA freshman sensation Lonzo Ball was a thorn in the side of Arizona for much of the game as he added a team-high 24 points.

Arizona's staunch defense proved to be the difference as they came away with key steals at crucial points of the game.

Arizona is now 18-2 and 7-0 in PAC 12 play.

The Wildcats will play Washington State on Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. at the McKale Center. The game can be seen on the PAC 12 network.
