15th ranked Arizona baseball shut out the Arkansas Razorbacks Friday night to open the Frisco Classic in Texas.

Starting pitcher J.C. Cloney went 7 2/3 innings, giving up only 3 hits and no runs.  He walked 2 and struck out a season high 7 batters.  Cloney has yet to give up a run this season.

In the bottom of the 6th, the Cats were able to add some run support, as junior JJ Matijevic doubled to deep center to score Alfonso Rivas to make it 2-0 Wildcats.

Cloney worked a perfect 7th and Cameron Ming came in to preserve the lead.  Ming tossed a scoreless 9th, working around a 2-out error.

Arizona is 9-0 this season, equaling the programs best start since 2007.  The Cats will play Oklahoma State on Saturday at 3pm.
