TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) Five-star wing player Rawle Alkins chose Arizona Baskeball over UNLV and St. Johns on Monday night.

Alkins made the announcement on ESPNU. He is considered the number seventeen recruit on ESPN's Top 100 ranking. Alkins is a six foot four inch wing player.

Alkins joins five-star recruit Kobi Simmons, from Georgia, and Lauri Markkannan, from Finald as part of next year's class. The Wildcats graduate Gabe York, Mark Tollefsen, Ryan Anderson, and Kaleb Tarczewski. Allonzo Trier could head to the NBA and the status of Elliott Pitts is uncertain after leaving the team.

It is ironic that Alkins took an official visit when Arizona was hosting Oregon, it's only home loss in the last three years.

This year's Wildcats enter the Pac-12 Tournament as a number four seed and will play the winner of Colorado and Washington State in the quarterfinals on Thursday.
