Arizona baseball opened their College World Series run off Saturday night with a 5-1 win over No. 3 Miami. Nathan Bannister tossed seven innings, only surrendering one run and a career-high 11 strikeouts.
Monday night, the Wildcats take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys in the winners bracket game at 4:00 pm Tucson time.
Oklahoma State is making its 20th overall appearance in the College World Series and first since 1999.
Bobby Dalbec will get the start in Monday night's game. Dalbec has made a team-high 26 appearances on the season with four starts. Dalbec had the best start of his Arizona career last weekend in Starkville for the Super Regionals. He went 8 2/3 scoreless innings against Mississippi State, earning his 10th win of the season in a 1-0 victory over the Bulldogs.
