Arizona Softball will take on the Auburn Tigers at 3:30pm Tucson time on Saturday afternoon in the NCAA Super Regionals in Auburn, Alabama.
The Wildcats (39-19) will look to take two of three games from the Tigers, who boast a 53-9 regular season record.
Mike Candrea, who is in his 31st year of coaching at the U of A, will face a familiar face in Clint Myers, a former head coach of the ASU Sun Devils. Myers won two championships while at Arizona State and is a two-time SEC Champion at Auburn.
Arizona is making its 30th consecutive trip to the NCAA tournament, which is the longest active streak in the nation and tied for the longest streak in the sport's history.
Wildcat starting pitcher Danielle O'Toole leads the conference in victories, which is the most by any U of A player since Kenzie Fowler's 26 in 2011.
The Wildcats advanced to the NCAA Super Regionals for the 11th time in the 12 seasons since the NCAA Super Regional round was created in 2005, but this marks the first time the Wildcats have done it as an unseeded team.
Game 1 is on Saturday on ESPN2 and game 2 is at 11:00am on Sunday on ESPN. A third if-necessary game will be played at 2pm on Sunday.
