TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Pueblo sophomore shooting guard Alicia Reyes broke a 21-year-old state record by hitting 17 three pointers in the Warriors' road game at Cholla High on Wednesday night.
Alicia's 57 total points is a new school and Southern Arizona record as well.
Reyes hit 5-three pointers on Friday night in Pueblo's 69-48 win over Empire, helping the Warriors improve to a 20-3 record.
"It's a lot to take in, honestly. I didn't think I was going to get this much attention. I thought I was going to break it, and that's it, and like I was going to get the title. I didn't think it would be in the newspaper and all that but I'm really happy for my team and I," Reyes says of her three point record.
Pueblo's next game is at Safford on Tuesday night.
