TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) — Owner of Alice Rae Intimate Apparel, Julia Hann, said her shop helps women through every stage.

"Our business is kind of unique because we don't have one age group of customers that we service," said Hann.

Hann said her shop serves young teens to those later in life.

The Tucson shop provides prosthetics and bras for women who have, or have had, breast cancer. Their products are custom fit to each customer. Long-time customer, Dee Reddick, was diagnosed with breast cancer three years ago and had a double mastectomy.

"I was having a little trouble finding bras that fit, so I came in," said Reddick.

Even with the support of loyal customers, Hann said her shop has seen a double-digit decrease in sales since March.

"Where would these women go for their mastectomy fitting if we weren't here?" said Alice Rae Intimate Apparel Mastectomy Fitter, Stefani Todd.

Staff said Alice Rae is one of only two shops in Tucson that is certified to fit women for a prosthetic and bra post-mastectomy.

"I'll do a fitting and I'll see their posture change. I'll see them stand up taller and throw their shoulders back. I can tell that's made a difference," said Todd.

Alice Rae staff want to continue, despite challenges down the road.

"We all gather self confidence in different ways, but it's important to all of us. If this helps then that's a good thing," said Todd.
