A woman whose actions triggered an Amber Alert over the weekend has been arrested on a drug charge.

A release from the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office says Belinda Hartman was approached by Sedona police on Saturday after law enforcement issued an Amber Alert for Hartman and her 9-month-old baby.

Officers found the pair in a business district off of Highway 89A. Yavapai County detectives arrived on the scene and determined Hartman was under the influence of methamphetamine.

Hartman later admitted to using meth within the past two days, authorities said. Hartman was charged with possession/use of a dangerous drug. Yavapai County said it was still investigating what charges, if any, would be filed as a result of the Amber Alert.

She was released from custody on a promise to appear.

The Department of Child Safety took custody of the toddler, authorities said.
