The Frye Fire continues to burn 7 miles southwest of Safford.
The fire has grown to 48,302 acres at 66 percent containment.
Stage 2 fire restrictions are in effect until rescinded by the Coronado National Forest.
The Frye Fire currently has 475 total personnel assigned, with 25 engines, 7 water tenders, and 5 helicopters.
All campgrounds, roadways, and trail systems within the National Forest boundary of the Pinaleño mountain range are closed with the exception of State Highway 266 from the intersection at the eastern Forest boundary to the intersection with the western Forest boundary.
The lightning-caused fire began on June 7th.
