Tucson Police Department confirms a white man in his 50's is dead with obvious signs of trauma on the 2600 block off S. Mission Rd.
Sgt. Kimberly Bay confirmed early Monday morning this is a homicide investigation.
Bay said officers responded to the area of of South Mission Road near West 36th Street around 1:30 a.m. to conduct a welfare check on a man in the desert area.
When officers arrived on scene, 52-year-old Gregory Marsh was located deceased with obvious signs of trauma, said Bay.
No suspects have been identified at this time. The investigation is in the early stages and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
