Prior to a jewelry theft from a Glendale store, police officials believe the culprits may have targeted a Tucson jewelry store this weekend.

Glendale police said three men walked into the Helzberg Diamonds jewelry store near 91st and Glendale avenues around 8:20 p.m. on Saturday. An unknown chemical was sprayed, and the trio got away with an unknown quantity of merchandise.

On Sunday, Glendale officials said the trio may be linked to a jewelry store robbery at a Tiffany and Co. store in Tucson that happened earlier on Saturday, according to sister station KGUN9.

In Tucson, the Pima County Sheriff's Department is looking for four suspects. Only three of the suspects entered the store and asked to see a ring. The suspects assaulted the security guard and fled the scene with the ring in a white Nissan Altima that had an unidentified dealer placard in place of the license plate.

PCSD is asking for the public's help in identifying the three men as well as a fourth suspect who did not come into the store.

The first suspect is described as a man, 25-30 years old, who was last seen wearing a white shirt, a white hat and red pants.

The second suspect is described as a man, 30-40 years old, with a goatee and mustache. He was last seen wearing a blue and white plaid shirt, a black hat and jeans.

The third suspect is described as a man between 25 and 30 years of age with a mustache and goatee. He was last seen wearing a white tank top, a black and red hat and dark shorts.

The fourth suspect is described as a man between 30 and 40 years of age. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt and blue hat.

If you have any information about the Tucson jewelry incident you are asked to call 88-CRIME.

The Glendale Police Department said suspect descriptions and further information could be released after Tuesday.
