Officials are on the scene of an officer-involved shooting in Tempe.
The incident happened just after 7:00 a.m. near Rural Road and Southern Avenue.
Tempe police said a suspect stabbed an officer and was shot by another officer at the scene. The suspect was transported to the hospital and died from the gunshot wound.
According to Tempe police, one of their officers was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to be ok.
The name of the officer or the suspect has not been released.
