Police are investigating after two women were found dead Tuesday night in a home in Surprise.
Officers were called to a home near Reems and Bell roads around 9:30 p.m. to conduct a welfare check.
An out-of-state family member told police that she could not get a hold of her mother who was visiting a friend. She could not get in touch with the friend either.
When officers arrived, they found two women dead from apparent gunshot wounds, according to a media release.
Detectives are at the home Wednesday morning conducting a search warrant to gather evidence and figure out what lead to the women's deaths.
It is not known if they are looking for any suspects.
