PHOENIX (AP) - Police in Phoenix say a wrong-way driver is dead after colliding with a light rain train.
They say the crash occurred about 3 a.m. Sunday.
Police say a woman in her 30s was driving the vehicle involved and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her name hasn't been released yet.
Police say an operator and two passengers were inside the light rail when the crash happened and all three people escaped injury.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, but police say they believe speed may have been a factor in the crash.
The impact of the crash caused the light rail to go off its tracks and then hit a light pole.
