TUCSON, Ariz. — A new poll shows Arizona voters now favor former Vice President Joe Biden over President Donald Trump by a growing margin.
The poll, conducted by OH Predictive Insights, surveyed 600 likely voters in Arizona via cell phone and landline on April 7 and April 8, with a margin of error of 4%. The results found 52% of respondents favored Joe Biden compared to 43% for Donald Trump.
Compare that to a March poll by the firm which found Biden leading 49% to 43%, and it's a sharp turn from the firm's December poll which found Trump leading 46% to 44%.
The poll also found Trump with more excited supporters in Arizona -- 70% of the president's supporters described themselves as "extremely enthusiastic" to cast their vote, compared to 60% of Biden supporters.
Arizona hasn't cast its electoral votes for a Democratic candidate for president since Bill Clinton in 1996.
