PHOENIX (AP) — Phoenix police say an armed man who allegedly entered a woman's home while she was on the phone with 911 was shot and killed by an officer on Saturday.
Sgt. Ann Justus said the officer confronted the man in the backyard when the man left the home, ignored a command to drop his gun and instead raised it.
Justus said the resident called 911 to report seeing a man in her backyard with a gun and that the man entered the home while she was on the phone.
No identities were released.
Justus said there was no immediate indication the man and the woman knew each other.
