Authorities are investigating after two women were shot in a possible road rage situation Monday night.
Mesa police say prior to the shooting, a white SUV and tan car were seen driving aggressively near Country Club Drive and Rio Salado Parkway.
Officers say when both vehicles stopped at Rio Salado Parkway, the women in the SUV were shot by someone riding in the tan car.
One of the women was shot three times and is in critical condition, police say. The other woman suffered non-life threatening injuries after being shot in the leg.
Mesa police say they do not have any outstanding suspects at this time.
