Authorities say a Buckeye police officer has been airlifted to an area hospital following a crash Wednesday afternoon.
The crash happened around 1 p.m. near the intersection of Verrado Way and Indian School Road, according to the Buckeye Police Department.

The officer, riding a motorcycle, crashed with an SUV. The officer suffered serious, but not life-threatening injuries, police said.
Further details about the crash and the officer's condition were not immediately available.
