Good news for BB Bear!
Last week, a 2-month-old husky was brought to a Maricopa County Animal Care and Control facility after suffering a massive skull fracture.
Due to his extensive injuries, BB Bear’s story has garnered national attention and some of the top neurologists in the United States reviewed his health records.
An MCACC spokesperson said it’s believed that BB Bear did not suffer damage to his brain stem. It was also determined that because of his young age, it’s possible that the part of his brain that was affected will recover over time.

Over the next seven days, the pup will continue to be sedated to allow swelling to go down, MCACC said.
Shelter workers previously said that they’re unsure if he’ll ever be ready for adoption. However, if he recovers enough to where adoption is possible, officials say he’ll require specialized care.
The Shelter says Arizona Animal Rescue Mission and Two Pups Wellness Fund has helped support BB Bear’s medical expenses so far, however, they could use help from the community as well.
MCACC says 100-percent of the donations will go directly towards him. To make a donation towards BB Bear's recovery, click here.
It's believed that the pup's injuries were human-caused. Anyone with information about the husky or his previous owner(s) is urged to call the Phoenix Police Department.
