A dog has been rescued in northeastern Arizona after it was believed to be lost for at least two weeks with a muzzle on its face.
The dog was found recently in Tsaile, Arizona with wounds on her face from the muzzle. It’s unclear if the dog was able to eat or drink with the muzzle on during the time.
The dog, named Pixie, is now at the Arizona Animal Welfare League where she will receive medical treatment for the sores created by the muzzle on the side of her face and snout.
A behavioral team at the shelter is also helping Pixie rebuild her confidence.
It’s unclear if someone has been contacted that had lost or abandoned the dog in the area.
