PHOENIX (AP) — The Arizona Supreme Court will consider an appeal from the state attorney general of a trial court's decision throwing out his lawsuit against the state university system over a deal with a hotel developer.

The high court on Tuesday granted Attorney General Mark Brnovich's appeal of the judge's dismissal.

Brnovich challenged a deal between Arizona State University and hotel developers.

The Board of Regents oversees state universities and prevailed in the court case in November.

That's when Whitten ruled that Brnovich's office filed the lawsuit after the one-year statute of limitations expired.
