TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A man is dead after a bicyclist and truck collision at Prince and 1st Avenue.
The victim was a male in his 30's according to Sgt. Pete Dugan.
Traffic investigators say both the bicyclist and the truck were both traveling eastbound on Prince.
The truck, that is described as a large commercial vehicle began to make a right turn when the bicyclist was struck.
Just after 2 p.m. on Friday officers responded to East Prince Road and North 1st Avenue for a call of a bicyclist who was struck near the intersection.
Officers located an unresponsive bicyclist in the road and Tucson Fire was on scene to assist but the bicyclist was pronounced dead shortly after they arrived.
The driver of the truck remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators. Alcohol and speed do not seem to be factors in the crash. Police say the bicyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
