TUCSON, Ariz. — For the first time ever Iowans will be able to select a presidential candidate from multiple sites around the world, including here in Tucson.

It's the first ever 'satellite caucus' organized by the state's Democratic Party.

Steven Lytle, from the Des Moines area, said he and his wife have traveled to Tucson for the past decade.

For just as long they've missed the Iowa caucus.

With two caucus sites in Tucson and another in Green Valley, he said he's happy to submit his vote this election year.

"I have a son who lives in Rome, Italy and happens to be going to Glasgow, Scotland on the weekend of the Iowa caucuses and is going to caucus in Glasgow," Lytle said.

"My wife has an appointment back in Iowa, she'll be there for the caucuses, I'll be here in Tucson, so we'll be spread around the world."

The caucus is for voters from Iowa, January 17th is the last day to register.

The caucus will be held on February 3rd.
