Free training for Arizonans interested in running for office

9 Arizona cities ranked in study on safest cities in the U.S.

PHOENIX — The Secretary of State's Office is offering a free training program for Arizonans who want to run for public office.

It includes a workshop on how to file as a new candidate.

Handbooks with guidance and information about political action committees and lobbyists are also available.

One workshop will take place March 5th from 1:30 to 2:30 P.M.

A second one will be the following day, March 6th, from 10 to 11 A.M.

Both will be held in the Historic Supreme Court Chambers in the Arizona Capital Museum.

This year, the filing window for new candidates is March 7th through April 6th.
