Police are investigating a shooting in the Laveen area overnight that left two people dead.
According to Phoenix Police, the shooting occurred in a neighborhood near 51st Avenue and Baseline Road.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene. Another man was taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition. That victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.
A third person may also be involved, but investigators are working to learn the status of that person.
There is no word yet on what led to the shooting, however, officials say they don't believe there is a threat to the public. They also say this situation does not appear to be a murder-suicide.
