Officials are on scene of an officer-involved shooting in Tempe, KGUN9 sister station KNXV reports.
The incident took place north of Rural and Guadalupe roads just before 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
The officer involved in the shooting did not sustain any major injuries. The suspect, who barricaded himself inside a senior center, was taken into custody and hospitalized. He later died.

Tempe police say the incident is isolated and is not an active shooter situation.
