Investigators are on the scene of a deadly fire in Apache Junction, KGUN9 sister station KNXV reports.
The home, located near Southern Avenue and Tomahawk Road, caught fire just around 1:15 a.m. Wednesday.
First responders on the scene say an elderly woman was able to escape the flames but a man inside was unable to get out.
The man was 79-years-old.
Pinal County Sheriff's Office deputies are also on the scene.
The fire is under investigation. There were no injuries to firefighters and the fire did not spread to surrounding structures.
